Frequently Asked Questions.
Are you insured to perform maid and cleaning services?
Our insurance is the best
available. We're not "just" a licensed cleaning service, but have
liability, crime and employee accident coverage. Your home, our team
members and Vacuum and Mops are included in the coverage. If you'd
like, we will send you a certificate validating our insurance.
Must I be at home when you clean my house?
It's your choice. Many customers of
our house cleaning service prefer to give us a key. Others leave us
a key in a safe place each visit. Alarm systems can either be left
off or you can give us entry/exit codes.
How do you protect
my keys?
Your key is secured in a locked key storage
device to which only Vacuum and Mops managers have access. The key
is issued to the cleaning service team leader on the day of your
clean. The team leader returns the key at the end of the day and
management returns it to the secured container. In the unlikely
event your key is lost, we're even insured for key replacement and
re-keying your locks.
How many people will
clean my home?
We work in teams of four, one of whom
is a Team Leader (supervisor). Four-person teams prove to be the
most efficient because each employee can concentrate on a specific
task while in your home. Our cleaning service includes vacuuming,
dusting, kitchens and bathrooms, all of which adhere to our unique
101-step VandM ® deep cleaning system
What if I would like
something cleaned that is not part of your house cleaning service?
Vacuum and Mops offers a wide variety of
additional house cleaning service options and special projects that
can be tailored to your exact needs. Contact us for more information
about specific projects and guidelines.
Do I need to provide
my own house cleaning products?
Vacuum and Mops will always arrive at your home
in one of our red company vans with our own cleaning products and
equipment. All of our products are environmentally-preferable and
are safe for small children and pets.
Will I always have
the same cleaning service team?
We make every effort to have the same
cleaning service team in your home. Occasionally there may be a
change in a team member due to illness. Vacuum and Mops team
leader's job is to learn your home and to teach the team members to
deliver the quality that you would expect.
Are your house
cleaning service teams trained and supervised?
Team members are trained before they're
permitted to enter your home. Training continues as we learn about
new products/methods and to reinforce prior training. Each team
includes a Team Leader to see that cleaning tasks are correctly
completed. Managers make periodic visits to homes to ensure we're
meeting cleaning service commitments. We even have a person
dedicated to Quality Assurance and Training.
How do I pay for
your residential cleaning services?
Payment is due at time of service. You
may pay by cash or personal check. On regularly scheduled visits, we
ask you to leave payment on the kitchen countertop.
What are your rates
for your house cleaning service?
Fees are based on the condition and size of the
home. It is best to contact the local Vacuum and Mops office serving
your area for an estimate. Our sales consultants will walk you
through our cleaning processes and provide you with a price for a
service that has been created to fit your specific needs. Offices
provide free, no obligation estimates for cleaning service
Are your cleaning
service employees legal citizens of the US?
Vacuum and Mops complies with the
Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) and follow procedures to
verify that employees are authorized to work in the U.S. All
employees of our cleaning service are required to fill out Form I-9,
the employment eligibility verification form, and provide necessary
employment eligibility documentation, before starting work.
